ICERM Bookmark 4 x 4
by Elaine
This bookmark incorporates the snowflake and petal motifs from the workshop.
It will be cut and sketched with a Silhouette machine.
To prepare the design file, I enclosed the artwork with a rectangular cut boundary and included a one-inch reference square for accurate scaling. Once imported into Silhouette software, release the compound path and look at the reference square's dimensions for its observed size.
Determine the correct scaling percentage by:
Scaling Percentage = (1 ÷ Observed Size) × 100
Use this value in the Silhouette software's transform screen to resize the entire design. Look at the measurement of the one inch square to make sure it is accurate before proceeding. The one inch square can be discarded.
The bookmark requires a two-stage fabrication workflow using Silhouette's line color cutting feature: first sketch the design elements, then execute the final cuts along the boundary lines.
